Positive impact pays off with The Breakfast Bothy
Innovative Partners is proudly committed to making a positive impact. Part of this commitment includes a charity partnership with The Breakfast Bothy, a grassroots charity that provides food, services, and a welcoming space for people experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh.
The Breakfast Bothy started during the 2020 lockdown with a simple mission: to serve breakfast and offer connection to those who needed it most. Today, they continue to provide nutritious meals, essential supplies, and links to employment and support services – helping some of Edinburgh’s most vulnerable residents take steps toward stability.
Innovative Partners supports The Breakfast Bothy through monthly donations and advocacy, helping the charity sustain its services year-round.
This year, Michael Davie, Director at Innovative Partners and a long-time supporter of The Breakfast Bothy, took that commitment a step further by running the 2025 Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the work the charity does.
“We know that ending homelessness is a marathon, not a sprint,” said Michael. “Running for The Breakfast Bothy felt like a fitting way to support their incredible work and help raise vital funds for the services that mean so much to our community.”
Further to this, members of the Innovative Partners team participated in the charity’s fundraiser event The Big Sleep Out in 2024, raising money for the opening of the charity’s shop and community hub. More recently, Saltire Scholar intern, Peter McAdoo spent a day volunteering with the charity in August, connecting with guests at The Breakfast Bothy, and helping sort through donations at The Bothy Boutique.
This partnership highlights Innovative Partners’ belief that business success goes hand-in-hand with community responsibility. Together with The Breakfast Bothy, Innovative Partners is working to create a kinder, more resilient Edinburgh – one breakfast at a time.
